Pierre Mailleur: a breath of youth, a new Burgundian poem

Pierre Mailleur, a new generation micro-négociant founded in 2016 on the historic hills of the Côte de Beaune by three friends, has redefined winemaking with a deep respect for their roots and the land.

Based in the ancient castle of Ladoix and aging their wine underground in old barrel cellars in Beaune, they harvest only carefully selected grapes from small, sustainable vineyards across prestigious appellations. All vineyard work and harvesting is done by hand, with minimal intervention, listening first to the voice of the land and the grapes themselves.

From the entry-level village Pinot Noir to the Premier/Grand Cru, each wine has a clear structure, transparency, and a distinctive character that reflects the region. The white wines are fresh and delicate, with the minerality and elegance that is characteristic of Burgundy.

In a world dominated by mass production and large domaines, Pierre Mailleur stands light and agile, yet firmly rooted, crafting honest, living wines with the warmth of the hand and the memory of the land – a new Burgundy.

Philosophy

Pierre Mailleur respects the vineyards and the terroir, crafting his wines with minimal intervention, handpicking and delicate barrel aging, allowing each bottle to capture the clarity, depth and soul of the land.
