Tenuta Canto alla Moraia

Tenuta Canto alla Moria — A winery in harmony with nature, nestled in the Tuscan hills.

Located in Castrillion Fibocchi, in the Chianti region of Tuscany, Tenuta Canto alla Moria is a wine estate lush with nature, surrounded by forests of mountain hydrangeas, olive trees, chestnut trees and oaks. The estate faces the ancient Roman road, Cassia Vetus, and is a place where history and nature blend together.

The story of this winery begins in the 1950s, when founder Giannetto Lebole and his brothers inherited a former aristocratic estate and transformed it into a farm and vineyard. Carefully managed over the years, the winery was established in its current form in 2002, under the current ownership of the family, who reaffirmed their commitment to wine and nature.

The vineyards, which cover approximately 30 hectares, are cultivated using organic and sustainable methods in harmony with the environment. The wine grapes grown are primarily Sangiovese, as well as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malvasia Nera, and Foglia Tonda. The soil and climate allow for the creation of wines with the region's distinctive aromas and rich expression.

Every year, the grapes are carefully handled by hand before being transported to the winery. Based on the philosophy of "quality over quantity," overcrowding is avoided and each vine is given just the right amount of pressure to achieve concentrated fruit flavor.

The wines that are born from the blend of the land's history, nature, and family values are more than just drinks; they are works of art that capture the memory and philosophy of the land in a bottle.

Philosophy

Rocche dei Barbari is a handmade wine that respects the characteristics of the sea breeze and the land. Tenuta Canto alla Moria crafts wines that reflect the history of the land, the climate and the family's passion: precision, patience and respect for nature permeate every step of the process.
