"We sought to recreate the emotional energy left behind by my grandfather, Walter, who was an important part of our company's history and philosophy and who embodied a free spirit."

Grape variety: 100% Sangiovese

Exposure: South/Southeast

Planting year: The best quality grapes are selected from the oldest vineyards from 1971 and 2002.

Vinification: Grapes are carefully hand-selected in the vineyard and in the winery, destemmed and soft-crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using wild yeasts. During maceration, pumping and délestage promote the extraction of polyphenols. The wine is then clarified by cooling with natural decanting.

Aging: 36 months in French oak, plus 12 months in bottle

Ageing potential: up to 10 years

Sensory evaluation: The wine has a deep ruby red color and a rich aroma of purple flowers and red berries. Spicy notes are beautifully balanced with the fruit. The palate is full-bodied and round, with a rich and persistent flavor, supported by ripe, warm tannins for a soft finish.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C

Alcohol content: 14% VOL

Food Pairings: Perfect with traditional Tuscan dishes, red meats, game and savory, matured or medium-aged cheeses.

Certifications: Organic, Biodynamic (Demeter certified since 2020), Member of the ViNnatur Association

Stock: 900 bottles of the 2014 vintage
